Valentines Day Gift Guide for Him | 2015

Valentine's day is quickly approaching and whilst us girls may be easily pleased, finding the perfect gift for your boyfriend is never an easy task.

I will have spent the last 4 valentine's with the same guy, and I thought finding him a gift would be easier the longer we were together. I was wrong, so very wrong. Every year I've struggled and this year is no exception. 

Although Valentine's day is not really a big deal to us and we definitely do not splash out, we still like to give each other a little something, and so here I've assembled a list of 'little somethings' that I think would make lovely little gifts for your boyfriend this valentines day.

1. Gift Cards - They may not be the biggest present in the world, but the right gift card can really show someone how well you know them. For me, Halfords and iTunes gift cards are always winners, but other gift cards for men include: Topman, Cineworld, Amazon, Ticketmaster, etc. It all depends on what he's into and what his hobbies are.

2. Aftershave - Not the most imaginative gift but definitely a safe option if you know what he likes, also take advantage and get one you like the smell of too. 

3. Leather Wallet/Belt - I don't think there's any guy that enjoys opening his wallet to the sound of velcro when they offer to pay over you, and I also don't think there's any guy that doesn't appreciate a nice looking wallet. Although they can be a tad pricey, Fossil do really smart and sophisticated looking wallet's which are relatively affordable that make for lovely gifts. They also come in a nice looking tin, pair it up with a ribbon and you're good to go. They also do lovely leather belts which you can never go wrong with.

4. Branded Clothing - I've relied so heavily on Jack Wills and G-Star over the years, and they've never let me down. Other brands that I imagine would be well received include: Superdry, Ralph Lauren, Hollister, Lacoste, Armani, etc.

5. Typography Mugs - I don't know about you but I absolutely love mugs, especially cute little typography mugs. Although they may be thought of as a typically feminine gift, guys use mugs too so why not get them a little witty mug to make morning beverages more fun?

6. Ties - Ties make such lovely gifts, definitely a staple item for any mans wardrobe.

7. Underwear - Let's be honest, are you even his girlfriend if you haven't bought him a pair?

8. CDs/DVDs/Boxsets - Always a winner. Who doesn't love to rewind with a lazy day consisting of nothing but lounging around in comfy clothes and binging on your favorite series.

9. Gadget Accessories - Every guy likes their gadgets, so what's more perfect than a gadget accessory? Whether it's a phone case or a set of head/ear phones, you can't really go wrong.

10. Experience Days - For those who really do make an effort with Valentines and really want to pull it out of the bag this year, experience days are the perfect gift for you. With such a variety of choices, there is something for everyone. Whether he's into fast cars, water sports or cooking, experience days will have you covered.

I think the most important thing to remember is that Valentines is ultimately a celebration of your love for each other, and not your love of cash and expensive gifts.
