For those of you who follow me on any of my social media sites, you'll know that I'm a huge fan of MAC Cosmetics, and that their lipsticks have a special place in my heart.
I've been collecting their lipsticks for around 2 years now, and my stash is quite extensive.
To date, I have 31 lipsticks and I'm not going to lie, I'll probably have a lot more by the end of the year. I'm a self confessed MAC addict, but their dreamy formulas and vanilla scent do not help! I'd recommend these lipsticks to anyone and everyone. They're just so creamy and pigmented and have such a vast range of finishes; there's something for everyone!
My favorite finishes are satin and matte, but I do own a few amplified finishes and I think one or two lustre's too! Personally, I feel that satin is the best finish as those lipstick's aren't as slippery as the cremesheen or amplified colors and so they last a lot longer, however amplified lipsticks are way more pigmented than satin, so it's really about what kind of look you're going for. Likewise, satin finishes are a lot more moisturizing for the lips than matte lipsticks, so if you've got dry lips I'd definitely recommend a satin finish as they glide on a lot easier than matte lipsticks as the formula is a lot creamier, they stay put for just as long as a matte lipstick and they don't dry out your lips.
I've decided to divide my lipsticks on the basis of their color rather than their finish, but I'll mention the finish of each lipstick as I go along.

L-R: Crosswires, Relentlessly Red, Russian Red, Mac Red, Cockney and Kinky.
Relentlessly Red - This color confuses me so much and is not what I expected at all. It's a retro-matte finish and is very drying on the lips. It's more of a pinky-red than a classic red, and is definitely more suitable for those who enjoy a bold bright lip.
Russian Red - The classic red lip. This is a matte finish but it's anything but drying. MAC really got it right with this formula.
MAC Red - This was my first ever lipstick purchased from MAC and it really is beautiful. It's a satin finish and glides on so easily. It's long lasting and such an easy red to wear.
Cockney - This is a very deceiving shade. It's a lustre, and so isn't very pigmented at all. I bought it without checking the finish and so I don't really use it at all but if you're after a very subtle shade, then this is the one for you. It's red, without being too in your face about it. Perfect for beginners.
Kinky - This is without doubt my favorite shade. Again, it's a matte finish but it isn't drying at all! I'd say it was basically a matte version of MAC Red. It's just a really beautiful shade.

L-R: Diva, Studded Kiss and Dubonnet
Studded Kiss - Not as dark as Diva, but still deep enough to be classed as vampy. This is my go-to shade during the Autumn time. Again, this is a matte finish.
Dubonnet - Amplified. Creamy and pigmented.

Top L-R: Eugene, Sin, Hang-Up and Rebel Bottom L-R: Amorous, Craving and Captive
Sin - Quite a dry matte. A lot darker than any of the other shades.
Hang- Up - Very slippery deep plum cremesheen color.
Rebel - I think this is the color that confuses everyone. It literally comes out a completely different shade than how it looks in the tube. It's a satin finish and it a lot more purpley-pink than what it appears to be, and is not at all as dark.
Amorous - ERMEHGURD. This is the most beautiful satin berry shade you'll ever lay your eyes on. It's without doubt one of my favorite shades by MAC and it's just so pretty and easy to wear.
Craving - This is a very glossy amplified finish. Of all the amplified colors, I find this the easiest to wear. It's very pigmented but the color itself is so natural that it just looks really pretty when its on and not at all in your face.
Captive - I think this is my second favorite after Amorous. It's a very muted satin shade, but it's beautiful. It's a lot more subtle and so perfect for those who are just starting out with lipstick.

L-R: Faux, Twig, Brave, Pink Plaid and Mehr
Twig - Another satin finish. A bit darker than Faux, but only slightly. It's such a lovely wearable shade, perfect for any time of year.
Brave - I have so much love for this shade but I am really not a pink lipstick kind of girl. Whilst this isn't an in your face pink, it is a more pinky-nude so I can only really wear it if I pair it with a darker lipliner to completely change the color of it. However if you're after a subtle pink that could easily pass as a your lips but better shade, then this is the one for you. This is a satin finish.
Pink Plaid - A more obvious pink but this time in a matte finish. A really lovely shade for those of you who like pink lipsticks.
Mehr - The newest matte to my collection! I've yet to try it on the lips yet but it looks like a really lovely your lips but better shade for me and my skin tone, so I'm super excited to try it out!
L-R: Taupe, Whirl, Velvet Teddy, Blankety, Cherish and Viva Glam II
Whirl - As you can see, I'm almost in need of a new one. I really love this shade, it's a bit darker than taupe but it's still wearable without being an in your face brown. This is also a matte shade.
Velvet Teddy - Similar to Rebel, this appears differently on everyone. All of the girls who I work with own this shade and it looks different on each and every one of us. All we can agree on is that it's a stable nude shade. Again, this is a matte shade.
Blankety - A really lovely pale nudey-pink. It's an amplified finish so it's very pigmented but the color is so soft and subtle it's not at all intimidating. Very easy to wear.
Cherish - This is a beautiful satin nude that is so easy to wear. This is definitely one of those lipsticks that you could easily wear to school as it's such a natural and subtle shade.
Viva Glam II - I really love this lipstick. It's such a unique color I've not found any dupes that have come close to how beautiful it is. It's a very very muted dusty pink/nude, or at least that's how I'd describe it. It's just a really gorgeous shade. This is in a satin finish.

L-R: Free As A Butterfly, Opera, Morange and Brave Red
Opera - This is a beautiful dark red matte lipstick from the January 2015 Isabel and Ruben Toledo collection. It's a beautiful color and is very similar to russian red from the permanent collection.
Morange - I'm fairly sure this shade is in the permanent collection but I'm not 100% sure. It's a very vibrant amplified creme orange shade that is so silky smooth on the lips that you would not believe. It comes from the Spring 2015 Wash and Dry collection.
Brave Red - Again I think this shade is available in the permanent collection but don't take my word for it. It's a classic amplified red from the Guo Pei Collection from September 2015.
If you made it through all of that I applaud you!
Overall I really recommend MAC lipsticks to anyone who's after a good quality lipstick that lasts throughout the day. They currently retail at £15.50 each, and although it's quite steep I really think they're worth every penny as I've never been left disappointed.
